Cleaning suedes, leathers, furs and fabric combinations in any three-tank drycleaning machine is simplicity itself when the drycleaning fluid in the machine is charged with an additive like Royaltone Detergent Plus Conditioner.
If the three-tank machine has only two operating tanks and a third holding tank, it is essentially a two tank machine and for our purposes, the variations possible in its use for
cleaning suedes, leathers, furs and cloth combinations are the same as previously described for a two tank machine.
If the three tank machine has three operating tanks or if the machine is a four-tank machine with three operating tanks, it presents a perfect machine configuration for the cleaning of suedes, leathers, furs and fabric combinations using the detergent plus conditioner.
If all three operating tanks are available, then there is only one variation needed to provide the easiest, least demanding, most flexible and highest quality results in cleaning suedes, leathers, furs, cloth combinations and cloth articles.
Three tanks, one variation
In this three-tank variation, the drycleaning fluid in the entire first tank system is charged with a 6 percent concentration of the detergent plus conditioner. This 6 percent tank system is used to clean all dark and bright colored suedes, leathers, heavy textured furs and any cloth combinations trimmed with any of these. The result will be cleaning virtually without color loss, fading, stiffening, hardening or drying out of the skin and high quality drycleaning of the cloth portions of the trimmed items.
The drycleaning fluid in the entire second tank system is charged with a 2 percent concentration of the detergent plus conditioner. This 2 percent tank system is used to clean all light and pastel colored suedes, leathers, light textured furs (rabbit fur) and cloth combinations trimmed with suede, leather or fur, virtually without color loss, fading, hardening, stiffening or drying out the skin and with excellent drycleaning of the cloth portions of the trimmed articles.
The drycleaning fluid in the entire third tank system is charged with a 1 percent concentration of the detergent plus conditioner and is used for cleaning cloth items only, with the added benefits of virtually no bleeding or fading of colors in articles like corduroys, velvets, silks, sleeping bags, surface prints and designer jeans. There will be no streaks or swales on silks or sleeping bags and, with fewer wrinkles on all items after cleaning and drying, it will be noticeably easier to press. Also, it provides significantly longer filter life as a result of the stabilization of the dye in the fabric so that less dye is removed from the clothes per pound cleaned and the organic texturizing sizing does not cause a pressure buildup. Therefore, the color of the drycleaning fluid stays lighter longer and the filter pressure stays lower longer.
With the three operating tank machine, there is no need to batch clean. Each tank system is used only for those items that it is ideally set up to handle. The operator just calls for the tank with the proper percent concentration of the detergent plus conditioner for each job, with the ease of pushing a button or inserting a card.
